MAC & Physician's Formula Haul

So recently Catch Of the Day had a big MAC sale on. Usually when this happens their aren't many products that catch my eye as they are generally the less popular shades, however, this time I saw a few products I had been lusting over for a while so I snapped them up quick (or Mum did for me - I was at work).

Being the makeup junkie I am I also picked up a few of the new Physician's Formula products from Priceline stands over the weekend as well as a few random items.

MAC Omega Matte Eyeshadow

I bought Omega as I was in need of a matte brown colour for blending out my eyeshadow and this is perfect. It is a light colour so it's the perfect blending colour for those with pale skin.

MAC Nylon Frost Eyeshadow

Nylon is quite a popular shade and I can see why, its a great highlight or all over lid colour. This reminds me of an eyeshadow version of Nars Albatross highlight.

MAC Hush Cream Colour Base

As you probably know by now I am a bit of a highlighter junkie. The pictures may make Hush seem more like a blush than a highlight colour but I can tell you it comes off a lot lighter than in the pan. It leaves a gorgeous pinky gold sheen on the cheekbones.

MAC Trace Gold Sheer Shimmertone Blush

Just as Hush looks like a blush but is a highlighter Trace Gold is a blush which looks like a bronzer! I'd heard Sarah Hawkinson on YouTube rave about this blush and always love her makeup so when I saw it on the website I snapped it up. Wore this today and its beautiful!

Physician's Formula Happy Booster Blushes Rose & Natural

These were all over YouTube a while back and as we are so far behind here in Oz these only just arrived in stores. They are so cute I could not resist picking them up. They come off quite light but are definitely buildable as you can see from the swatch.

Physician's Formula Custom Eye Enhancing Gel CreamLiner for
Green Eyes - excuse the ripped packaging Tasha got to it!

Just like the blushes the gel cream liners have only just arrived as well. These are the creamiest gel eyeliners I have ever tried and the colours are absolutely gorgeous! They are also quite long-lasting as I discovered when trying to wash them off my arm and they wouldn't budge!

Savvy by DB Precision Pen Eyeliner in Blackest Black and
Models Prefer Metallic Black Eyeshadow Pencil

I was in need of a new liquid liner and the pen form is my favourite kind so decided to pick up a cheapie from Savvy by DB. The Models Prefer pencil I bought to use as a base for a smokey eye.

What have you guys hauled lately?? Any new products you are loving??

Final GlossyBox and First Lust Have It Box!!

As a lot of you might know by now the Australian GlossyBox has been taken over by the folks at Lust Have It!

I received my last GlossyBox just before I went to Bali and was extremely impressed by the contents which made me feel a little sad that I'd no longer be receiving my beautiful pink boxes.

Here is what I got;
I'm going to miss these boxes! They are great for storage.

Jurlique Intense Recovery Mask 15mL up to $90 for 125mL
(~$11 value for 15mL)
Lapurete Protective Day Creme $59.95 for 30mL (~$30 value at 15mL)

Nivea Express Hydrating Lotion up to $7.99 for 400mL (~0.60c value)

Everescence Organic Hair Care Organic Moroccan Argon Oil
$39.90 for 100mL (~$2 value)

YSL Forever Youth Liberator Deluxe Serum $120 for 30mL (~$20 value)

Overall value = $63.60AUD

I was so excited to receive the YSL Serum, I read this is amazing and apparently there is even a wait-list overseas for it. This is really nice to use, it feels incredible and makes my skin feel amazingly smooth. I wish I could justify buying the full size but it's never going to happen!

The Jurlique mask excited me too and so did the Lapurete day creme. I thought the mini argon oil and the Nivea cream would be great for travelling.

This box definitely impressed me and I thought it was a great send-off from GlossyBox.

Since the merge I think Lust Have It! have done a really good job taking on all the ex-glossies, they have kept up good communication throughout the process as well as taking payments and sending out the first boxes very promptly. Glossybox had a big problem with sending out their boxes on time so I'm glad Lust Have It! has things under control.

Here is what I got in my first Lust Have It! Pack - I'm a little sad that it doesn't come in a pretty re-useable box like Glossy did but the cute makeup bag is a good substitute.

Really cute hot pink bag!!
So many goodies!!
Evo The Therapist Calming Shampoo & Conditioner $29.95 for 300mL
(~$5 for 50mL each).
Lush Lust Soap $6.95 for 100g (~$not sure of weight)
Caron Laboratories Bump eRaiser Medi Paste $16.75 for 30mL (full size)
Bioderma Crealine H2O Makeup Remover $39.95 for 250mL (~$3.20 value)
Nicole by OPI Nail Polish Mini $14.95 for 15mL (~$3.75 value)
ModelCo Gloss Showgirl Red $18 (full size)
Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty Perfume Sample $80 for 50mL (~$2 value)

Overall value = ~$60AUD

I was very excited to see the Bioderma Makeup Remover as I have heard really good things about it. I also love getting perfume samples and CK perfumes are my favourite so I was happy to see Sheer Beauty in here.

Lust Have It! has really impressed me so far, the samples in the first box were great and the customer service so far has been a great improvement. I really look forward to seeing what they do with the future bags and if they might bring in a pretty box!

Were you guys Glossy members? What do you think of the transfer?

What's in my travel makeup bag??

Overflowing!

Last week my family went on a holiday to Bali for a week to celebrate my mum and new step-dad Kim getting married last weekend. Yes they took us on their honeymoon...a little weird (i know) but very nice of them and a lot of fun!

I've been lucky enough to visit Bali many times growing up so I knew what to expect and what makeup I would need to bring with me. I knew I would be favouring a natural look due to the heat so I tried not too pack too much...tried and kinda failed lol.

L-R: Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation, Garnier Miracle Skin
Perfector BB Cream, Ansley New York Multi Fit BB Cream.

1. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation - I chose this as it is quite lightweight and I knew I would be going out to some nice places at night so I wanted to have a foundation with me but not something that would melt off in the heat.

2. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfecter BB Cream - I love this BB cream and thought it would be perfect however I didn't use it once as I favoured the Ansley BB cream.

3. Ansley New York Multi Fit BB Cream - I received this recently from the lovely people at Glow and Glamour and have fallen it love with it since this trip. I used this most days I was in Bali as it has an SPF and was natural-looking and not heavy. It also comes with a lip/cheek colour in the cap and a little mirror which was really handy. Full review will be coming soon.

L-R: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Illuminator, MAC MSF Natural,
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer, Thin Lizzy Concealer Creme.

4. MAC MSF Natural - My favourite face powder as it looks so natural and it helped my makeup last longer through the hot days.

5 + 6. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer and the Illuminator - The solution to under eye circles!!! I love the concealer and the illuminator was a new purchase which I love for under eyes as well as for illuminating the face.

7. Thin Lizzy Concealer Creme - A great concealer for covering blemishes which stays all day and doesn't cake. I received this in one of my GlossyBox's recently and really like it.

L-R: Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer, BYS Baked Bronzer in Golden
Shimmer, Nars Cream Blush in Cactus Flower, Nars Multiple in Maldives,
Clairns Instant Light Blush in Coral Tonic.

8. Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer - This is one of my favourite bronzers as I am quite pale and it's not too dark for my skin tone.

9. BYS Golden Shimmer Baked Bronzer - I rediscovered this recently, it gives my skin that Victoria's Secret looking skin (now if only it could give me the body too!!) look which I love especially for island holidays.

10. Nars Mulitple in Maldives - This has island holiday all over it, I mean what do you expect considering its name. I love this for highlighting and for adding shimmer to my body for nights.

11. Nars Cream Blush in Cactus Flower - I love this blush but don't get to use it much in everyday life so I thought this holiday would be the perfect opportunity for me to show it some love.

12. Clairns Instant Light Blush in Coral Tonic- A new addition to my collection courtesy of my lovely mum! I was showing her a Lisa Eldridge makeup tutorial on youtube and she used this blush. Mum remembered me loving it so she bought it for me when she was overseas the last time. I love this and used it most days I was away.

L-R: Beauty Essentials Be Warm Eyeshadow Palette, Covergirl 24hr mascara,
UD 24/7 Zero Eyeliner, Models Prefer Clear Mascara,
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk, Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Mascara,
MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque, Australis Pencil Sharpener.

13. Beauty Essentials Be Warm Eyeshadow Palette - I saw this at Priceline before I left for around five dollars and thought it would be the perfect palette to travel with as it's small and contains great neutral shades.

14. CoverGirl 24hr Mascara - I bought this mascara as it is very long-wearing and doesn't smudge.

15. Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero - For nights out when I wanted to put a little extra effort into my eye makeup.

16. Models Prefer Clear Mascara - Used to control my brows.

17. NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk - To use as a base for eyeshadow, although I didn't use this very much.

18. Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Mascara - This was $10 duty free, I couldn't pass that up!

19. MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque  - To use as a base or on its on for a quick wash of colour on the lid.

20. Australis Pencil Sharpener - Fits both my eyeliner and jumbo pencil, bought it just in case!

L-R: Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie, Nars Chihuahua lipgloss,
MAC Viva Glam V Lipglass, MAC Blankety Lipstick.
21. Revlon Lip Butter Raspberry Pie - Just in case I wanted to do a bold lip one night...I didn't haha

22. Nars Lipgloss in Chihuahua - One of my favourite glosses so I had to bring it.

23. MAC Lipglass Viva Glam V - Another favourite gloss which looks great over the lippie I bought along.

24. MAC Blankety Lipstick - My favourite lipstick and go to for night-times.

A whole lotta dirty brushes!

25. And here are all the brushes I bought with my...I know I went a little crazy haha Probably used about half of these.

I hope this post was helpful to any of you going on holidays soon! Where is your favourite place to holiday to?? And what makeup do you bring??

Update and another holiday!!

Hi Guys,

So today is a very special day...my mum is getting MARRIED!!!

I couldn't be happier for my mum and her fiancé and I can't wait for this afternoon. It's a simple ceremony in a local park, although there will be about 100 people coming! haha

I am once again doing the wedding makeup. This time not only for the bride but also the two bridesmaids (me and my sister). I will be sure to post some photos (if permitted!).

The best bit is I will be getting a step-dad and also a step-sister!! (Although this now makes me the middle child - boo)

I just wanted to let you know that I will be away for a week as mum and Kim (her fiancé) are being kind enough to take all us kids and partners on the honeymoon to Bali for a week!!

Even though I have been to Bali many times this time I get to take Blake with me, who has only ever been overseas once to the US so he might get a bit of a culture shock!

Anyway just a quick post to update you guys, I will be sure to take lots of photos and do a post when I get home :)

Hope everyone is doing well!

(And please pray for it not to rain today!!)
