My Latest Obsession: Faux Leather Leggings!!

In my December GlossyBox I received a voucher for the online store The Iconic. Even though it was one of those vouchers where you have to spend over a certain amount to get the discount I still thought it was worth checking out the site as I hadn't heard of it before.

I'd been loving leggings lately so thought I'd check out what they had on offer. That's when I stumbled upon these babies. I instantly knew I had to have them and a few days later (the site offers free shipping which is pretty quick - esp for those in the Eastern states) they arrived. This site has become one of my faves for online shopping, the free shipping is awesome and they have excellent customer service. When ordering these leggings I decided to order two sizes to make sure I got ones that fit well and when I returned the ones that were too big I got a prompt refund and a personal phone call advising me that my refund had gone through, which I thought was good of them.

I'd mentioned my little obsession on twitter recently and the lovely Priyanka from TwinxNTraks asked me to do an OOTD. So I thought I'd share with you the outfit I wore last night for my soon to be step-sister Josie's 21st!

A Little Bit of Love: Valentine's Day Glossy Box

I usually receive my GlossyBox around the end of the month so I was pleasantly surprised when I received this little baby on Valentine's Day!!

This GlossyBox was all about Valentine's Day. It was packaged in a blindingly hot pink box (different from the usual light pink - which I prefer) with pink and white sparkly filling. All the products are supposed to be about making you feel good and look good this Valentine's Day.

Blinded yet???

Proactiv Deep Cleansing Wash 60mL ($39.95/475mL)

Spongeables Heart - full size ($9)
e.l.f. lip gloss - full size ($3.99)
Langlois Natural Olive Lip Balm - full size ($7.95)
Star and Rose Floral Wonderland Emergency Nail Files (price not given)
YUMMYYYYY

The first thing in the GlossyBox I noticed was the Shower Gel in a Sponge. It looks so interesting! It says it cleanses, exfoliates, massages and moisturisers and lasts 20+ showers. I am interested to see if it does what it claims, it smells very floral and sweet. This retails for $9 and I think they would make great little gifts!

I was also very excited to receive the Proactiv Deep Cleansing Wash (60mL) sample as I have always been curious to try Proactiv but always thought it was too expensive and I didn't know if it would work for my skin.

There was two lip products in my box this month. An ELF Super Glossy Lip Shine in Wild and a Langlois Natural Olive Lip Balm in Strawberry. I was excited to see an ELF product as I have heard so many good things about them on youtube. However, I do think its a little out of place in a supposed luxury beauty box service. The Langlois lip balm is super nice. It says it is 60% Virgin Olive Oil which I found interesting. It feels really good on the lips and very moisturising.

The last thing in my box was some mini emergency nail files from Star and Rose. These are so tiny and perfect for your handbag! Oooo and they included some love heart candies, which I lurveeeeeee!

At first I was a bit disappointed with this box, it was extremely hyped up being a "limited edition" box and I had seen that others got a Bobbi Brown mascara which I would have loved as I am a mascara fiend! However, going through the all items again I am pretty happy with it as I know it will all be used.

Were you happy with your box?? How was everyone's Valentine's Day?

EOTN: Navy Blue Smokey Eye

I love getting ready!

Don't get me wrong I also love to go out but the getting ready part is probably my favourite part of the evening...except of course for dancing with my gorgeous friend Elaina!!

My favourite part about getting ready is of course doing my makeup (duh, this is a beauty blog after all). I love creating a really sexy smokey eye, which is what I typically wear on nights out.

I thought I would share with you all the latest smokey eye I have been trying out lately. It's a gorgeous navy blue smokey eye using eyeshadows from my favourite makeup brand Nars.

Excuse the undone hair haha this seems to be a trend in my posts!

**Excuse the shininess in these photos I had to use flash as it was night-time and it made me look super oily...weird considering I am a dry-skinned girl haha

To create this look I first primed my eyes with UDPP. I next applied the Nars single eyeshadow in Outremer all over the lid and slightly into the crease as a base. Then I applied the lighter shade from my Nars duo eyeshadow in Dogon on the inner third of my eye blending it in with Outremer. I also carried that up slightly into the crease. After that I deepened the outer v and crease with the darker shade from the duo and blended it all together as well as bringing the colours underneath my eye. I then lined my eyes with Urban Decay's 24/7 liner in Zero.

I also decided to use some corner lashes for this look and opted for some that were in my POBM goodie bag. They are the brand Wasp and they came in a set (DL3) with some lash glue and an applicator tool. I love love love these lashes, being just corner lashes it's hard to tell I am wearing them but they make my lashes appear a lot fuller. I then added 2 coats of L'Oreal Voluminous mascara.

I hope you guys enjoy this EOTN :)

How do you guys do your makeup for a night on the town??

Be my Valentine? A Valentine's EOTD

I've never been all that into Valentine's Day. There is something about it that seems a bit forced but I'm not one of those people that completely despises it and sees it as a cash cow for Hallmark.

However, for those of you who do get into Valentine's Day I thought I would share with you an idea for an eye look you could wear on the day/night for whatever you may have planned :)

For this look I used a palette which I received for Christmas from my mum (thanks mum!). It's the Shiseido Luminizing Sation Eye Colour Trio in PK403. It contains three gorgeous different toned pinks that are highly pigmented and incredibly velvety to the touch.

I'm usually not a big pink eyeshadow person but I was surprised with how much I actually liked the look of pink on my eyes. Will definitely be getting some use out of this little beauty. It's said that wearing pink on your eyes can make you look sickly, but I don't see it with this look.

So here it is!!

This look was super simple to create. First I primed my eyes with Urban Decay Primer Potion. Then I dusted the lightest pink shade all over the eye from lid to the brow bone. I then added the medium pink to most of my lid (avoiding the very inner corner). Finally I placed the darkest pink shade at the outer v of the eye and blended it into the crease. I also placed the shadows under my eye in the same fashion and joined them up at the outer corner.

I hope you guys enjoy this look, I think it's super pretty and very appropriate for Valentine's Day!!

Are you guys into Valentine's Day?? What are your plans??

Hannah xoxo
